Notre-Dame of Paris is reborn for a historic weekend !

On 29 November, French President Emmanuel Macron paid his 7th and final site visit. He was able to pay a fitting tribute to the thousands of Compagnons, workers, firefighters and all the other trades involved in the restoration of Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral over a period of 5 years.

For the occasion, our teams set up a 5-camera system on site, with the Millenium 1 for Jérôme Revon's production for France Télévisions, as well as a 5-camera HF system with the Extender 5, and a mobile IXI LIVE system for transmission.

Then, on 7 and 8 December 2024, the official rebirth of Notre-Dame de Paris took place. 2063 days after the devastating fire of 2019, Philippe Jost, President of the Etablissement public Rebâtir Notre-Dame de Paris, his team and nearly 2,000 craftsmen and workers worked tirelessly to restore this jewel of world heritage to its former splendour, demonstrating the strength and excellence of French know-how.

Invited by French President Emmanuel Macron, some forty heads of state turned up to attend this unique event, broadcast in its entirety on France Télévisions and around the world. Recording of the concerts on the square on the evening of 6 December, ceremony on 7 December attended by all the officials and first masses on 8 December.
The resources of La fabrique FRANCE TV were mobilised to provide the private and international signals, as well as RF FACTORY, which deployed a large RF system in support.
Some forty technicians were on hand for a week to prepare and install the Extender 5 set-up, with 10 cameras, including one at the Eglise Saint Sulpice, and a helicopter. All this while working in 1080P - HDR.
